Project: 10 METER EMC CHAMBER Client: HEWLETT-PACKARD, Cupertino, CA Size/Description: 34'W. x 70'L. x 27'H. Cuming-Lehman Chambers was contracted by Hewlett-Packard to retrofit a 10 meter chamber at the existing Cupertino, CA facility. The new facility was designed, built and tested to the specifications as outlined in ANSI C63.4 for certified emissions testing as well as in IEC 10000-4-3 for immunity testing. ![]() Cuming-Lehman Chambers utilized an existing welded shield and retrofitted the structure to withstand the extra load of the ferrite tile used in Cuming-Lehman Chambers' EMC absorber. Utilizing the existing shield restricted the design to the existing welded chamber dimensions; however, Cuming-Lehman Chambers' 3D FDTD modeling process allowed full analysis of absorber desins in that chamber configuration to ensure performance of the final design. Cuming-Lehman Chambers Scope of Work: - design/engineering and computer modeling - working drawings and submittals - reinforced existing welded shielding system - modification of mechanical/electrical systems - modifications of fire protection system - furnished and installed optimized hybrid absorber - testing and certification Status: Operational-Listed with FCC |
